About Us

Two cousins that wanted to produce high-quality meat, Adam and Drew started raising chickens using regenerative methods to improve the land, while making the best tasting chicken possible.

Our process starts when chicks arrive in the mail. We get a call from the post office notifying us that our chicks have arrived. 40 chicks are packed into each box with holes for good air flow. Once they’re unpacked, the chicks are thirsty from travelling and we dip each chicks beak into a mixture of water, apple cider vinegar, and garlic to give their immune system a boost and re-hydrate them.

Over the next 2-3 weeks the chicks stay in a stationary brooder with heat lamps, water, and plenty of starter feed with a very high protein content which helps them grow very quickly. Our feed is un-medicated and no anti-biotics or hormones are used throughout the entire process.

By week 4 we’ve moved the chickens outside to the pastures. We pick up each individual bird, inspecting them before we release them into their new homes. The chickens now live in moveable tractors that we designed and built to keep the birds safe from predators, dry from rain, and protected from wind all while allowing them to eat all the bugs and grass they want.

For this flock we’re raising a breed called Cornish Cross which is a cross breed of a Cornish chicken and a White Rock chicken. The combination of these two breeds results in a bird that grows very quickly at almost a pound per week!

Every morning around 7:30, we move the tractors to a new tract of fresh grass, clean and refill their 5-gallon waterer, and distribute feed. We repeat this process each evening around 7:30. One person pulling the tractor, while the other person ensures all the birds are moving along and no-one gets run over by the tractor.

Our feed is sourced from a local mill less than 6 miles from the farm. They farm over 1,000 acres inside Spartanburg, Greenville, and Polk counties. We use food-grade containers to ferment the feed on a 3-day rotation. The fermenting process improves the gut and overall health of the chickens and they seem to like it better than dry food as well!

Once the birds are fully-grown they are taken to our USDA certified processor in Atlanta. A few days later, we will make the trip back to Atlanta with our freezer to pick up our meat that has been packaged and labeled. For this flock, we have requested breasts, wings, thighs, and several flavors of sausage.

If you are interested in experiencing the taste of truly regeneratively farmed chicken, please submit a pre-order or send us an email with the cut of meat you’re looking for. This is a small flock and we expect to run out very quickly, so please get in touch so we can be sure to serve you.
